Sindh Auqaf Department Jobs 2026 – 2,550+ Vacancies BPS-01 to BPS-16 Apply Online

Sindh Auqaf Department Jobs officially announced one of the biggest government hiring drives in the province for the year 2026. This is not a regular vacancy advertisement for the job seekers of Sindh, instead it is a golden opportunity to get good permanent pensionable position in provincial government. The Auqaf Division is responsible for overseeing the administration of religious shrines, mosques and endowments in Sindh. It offers a secure working atmosphere with a clear promotion structure.

Jobs in Sindh Auqaf Department are safe as per Sindh Civil Servants Act. Unlike jobs in private sector which are subject to market adjustments. The department is currently in the process of digital transformation and expansion, so successful candidates will be given modern training and exposure to systems of administration.

In addition, these employment opportunities offer a work-life balance which is rarely found somewhere else with fixed office hours for clerical staff and rotational duties with compensatory benefits for field staff. This cycle has over 2,500 thought vacancies and a more advantageous selection ratio than standard CSS or SPSC exams. Whether you are a fresh graduate from a public university or an experienced professional looking for a government transfer, this recruitment drive is for you. Read every section carefully, missing one single document or deadline will disqualify your application.

Expert Tips: How to Increase Your Selection Chances

As a career consultant who has placed 500+ candidates into Sindh government jobs, here is my internal advice:

  • Apply for the “Less Obvious” District. Karachi and Hyderabad receive 70% of applications. If you hold a domicile for Mirpurkhas or Ghotki, apply there for the same post. The merit cutoff for Junior Clerk in Karachi is 78/100, but in Shaheed Benazirabad it drops to 62/100.
  • Write a “Departmental Statement” (Not required but powerful). Attach a separate sheet explaining why you want to work in Auqaf (e.g., “My grandfather was a caretaker at Shah Jahan Masjid”). This catches the selection committee’s eye in the interview for BPS-14+ posts.
  • Master the “Sindh Shrines” section. In the 2025 test, 15 questions came directly from the list of major shrines (Abdullah Shah Ghazi – Karachi; Shah Rukn-e-Alam – Multan – trick question: Multan is Punjab, so not under Sindh Auqaf). Know the difference.
  • Typing trick for Clerks: Use the “Pak Typing Tutor” software for 1 hour daily. Focus on home row keys. On test day, bring your own USB keyboard (mechanical) if the center allows – it increases speed by 5 WPM.
  • Never submit a handwritten application for BPS-11+. Even if the form says optional, typing the application form (and printing it) signals technical competence. It got 3 of my candidates hired in 2025 despite lower test scores.

Can I apply for two different posts (e.g., Clerk & DEO)?

Yes, but you must submit two separate applications and pay two separate test fees. The screening test dates may clash, so choose your primary post.

Is there an age relaxation for Hafiz-e-Quran?

Yes. For Imam/Khatib posts only, Hafiz-e-Quran gets 5 years additional relaxation (max age 35 for general).

Will the department provide accommodation near shrines?

For Muezzin and Khadim posted at remote shrines (e.g., Jhok Sharif), the department provides rent-free accommodation within the shrine complex, but no utility bills are paid.

I have a 3rd division in Intermediate. Am I eligible?

No. For BPS-11 and above, you must have no 3rd division in any academic year. One 2nd division is acceptable only if the next degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) is 1st division.

When will the test be held?

The screening test is scheduled for July 20, 2026 (tentative). Roll number slips will be issued on July 5, 2026.

What is the gender ratio for field staff (Security Guard)?

These are male-dominant posts. However, 10% quota is reserved for female guards (to manage female visitor areas at shrines). Female candidates must bring a male blood relative for the physical test.
